Packaging Solutions with Aussie Crates
Aussie Crates WA provides a complete packaging solution with timber cases, crates and pallets as well as wooden boxes and a range of packaging products including heat shrink and plastic wrapping.
We can custom design and manufacture packaging to your requirements. Here is the general process we use:
Our Packaging Process
Step One.
We receive an enquiry over the phone, via email or in person. Our friendly sales team then identify:
- The requirements of the item – weight, size, special handling requirements. We offer an obligation free onsite measuring service. If you measure the item to be packed yourself, if possible please provide the size in millimetres and provide us with the size you want the inside of the box to be (L x W x H). Please allow an extra 50mm to the length and width and an extra 20mm to the height.
- The means of transport of the item – Truck, ship, train, plane and the relevant material handling equipment available.
- The pre-requisites of the destination – local or international; different countries have different regulations, restrictions and limitations on import and export packaging.
Step Two.
We develop a customised design to best package the product based on the specifications established in Step One. We specialise in timber crates, cases and pallets as well as wooden boxes and crates. We also carry out heat shrink and plastic wrapping.
Step Three.
We determine the cost and time of the project. As every job varies to meet individual scopes, prices quoted will include the following:
- Type of material used – pine, MDF, ply or hardwood, steel frame
- Hardware – screws, nails, zips etc
- Packing materials used including heat shrink and plastic wrapping
- Any labelling or stencilling undertaken
- Tailored packing manual supplied
- ISPM – 15, H3 or H4 requirements
- Delivery costs if outside the immediate metropolitan area. If your order is over $500 exc GST, delivery within the metropolitan area is free.
Aussie Crates will issue a formal written quote and send this to the client.
Step Four.
Upon receipt of the quote acceptance form and the purchase order number from the client, we start production of the customised timber packaging solution. We work closely with the client to ensure all targets, special applications and specifications of the job are fulfilled to the highest quality from design to delivery.
