Securing Cylindrical Screens

DSCN0955 comp

Our client dropped off 7 cylindrical steel screens, each weighing about 300kg, for Aussie Crates to build customized timber export crates.  When completed, each one measured almost 2.5m long and 1.7m high.

Additional bracing timbers were inserted to hold the steel screens in place and provide added strength where the screen sat on the crate base. The ends of each screen were also bolted to the crate to prevent any movement during transit.

Steel banding around the crates was an extra safeguard to minimise any damage to the crate and its contents while travelling. The crates were then being loaded into shipping containers for sending overseas.
